The Swell Head Of The Rhodes 22

Balance:  The standing Head-Room-Hatch over the head room, is balanced with a matching hatch over the dinette.   R-22's balancing act continues with a second Solar Panel for twice the energy absorption.

An old Chinese proverb says, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going";  or was it "when you got to go, you got to go"?  In either case, the Rhodes' sea-cock controlled water intake (no more bringing a hose inside the cabin) and the Rhodes' deck holding-tank fitting for dock-side pump-out or maceration discharge (no more carrying out a trunkful), makes the Rhodes 22 the way to go.

A sliding panel provides privacy on the forward bunk side of the head compartment or moves to port for access between this berth and the head - or to enlarge the head for more "in use" jockeying space.

Sliding this panel to port also closes the "V" berth form the main cabin.  Note the second ceiling hatch and also the hinged seat that opens the compartment housing the battery and macerator and 110 charger.

What makes a fully enclosed head possible in a small trailerable cruiser is the multi-panel stainless steel piano-hinged head door.  In use, the panels smoothly shift to a comfortably enlarged area.

Pivot the panels and the cabin space returns to full size and the head compartment to a hanging clothes closet.  Leave the door open and the porcelain throne becomes the best seat in the house.

Can you guess what this employee is doing?

The Rhodes' toilet, with its lighting system, primping mirror, cosmetic shelf, toilet paper holder, 110 volt outlets for hair dryer and electric razor, medicine cabinet, clothes and towel holder, holding tank and/or macerator, tiled floor and magazine rack and a unique multi-hinged door, truly goes to the Head of its Class.
